We accept most insurance plans and many of our dental treatments are covered for payment. Our dentists will always recommend what is best for you, based on what procedure lasts the longest, and is the strongest, regardless of whether you do nor do not have insurance. It’s really quite simple. Our dentists believe that everyone should have an opportunity to say “Yes” to the dental care they need.
We would like to help you obtain the maximum use of your dental benefits, so please contact us at (403) 262-9455 for a complimentary cosmetic consultation to discuss your dental needs and to determine your insurance benefits coverage.
To guarantee accuracy when dealing with your insurance company, it is very important that you bring your insurance information with you. Remember: dental insurance is intended to cover some, but not all, of the costs associated with your dental care. Reimbursement amounts are not, and never have been, a guideline for quality care.
Q) Do you Direct Bill my insurance company?
A) No, we do not currently Direct Bill. However we do submit your claim electronically to your insurance provider. This normally results in your claim being reimbursed in about a week. Please contact our office at (403) 262-9455 to discuss your needs further.
Q) Do you accept Insurance Assignment?
A) No, we do not currently accept Insurance Assignment (also called Direct Billing). Please contact our office at (403) 262-9455 to discuss your needs further.
Q) Do you accept my insurance? How much will they pay?
A) We currently accept all private care insurance plans (plans that do not require you to select a dentist from a list or require our office to accept a reduced fee for services). This means that we work with literally thousands of insurance companies. Although we maintain computerized histories of payments by a given company, the benefits do change; therefore sometimes it is not possible for us to give you a guaranteed quote of insurance coverage. We estimate your portion based on the most up-to-date information we have, but it is ONLY AN ESTIMATE.
If you would like to know your exact insurance benefit, we will be happy to file a “pre-treatment estimation” with your insurance company prior to treatment. This does delay treatment, but will give you the exact out-of-pocket figures you may require.
Q) I thought I paid my portion, but I got a bill. Why?
A) We base the patient portion of your bill on our most current data, but there are many factors that can affect this estimate. There may be a deductible (individual or family), or you may have received treatment in another office prior to joining Gulf Canada Square Dental which is not calculated into our database figures. Sometimes you may need to see a specialist for care, which also draws on your annual benefit. Insurance companies do not, and cannot, notify us of changes to your benefits. THEY ONLY NOTIFY YOU. If any of these situations apply to you, please let us know when we estimate your treatment costs so we may adjust them accordingly.
